About the house: span>built in Victorian Gothic Revival style, the 3,000 square foot home has been incredibly preserved and restored, and exquisitely furnished. For 40 years, home economist Agnes White — the original Betty Crocker (1924) — lived and cooked here. Appointments include original cedar wood floors, intricate moldings, grand ceilings, waved glass, fireplaces, original mantels, and hand-made copper counters in the kitchen. The 8-acre estate is nestled among ancient oaks and sits alongside a running stream. The property is graced by romantic grounds, ponds, and gardens. At the turn of the century, the home was the center of social life in Valley Center. It is a unique piece of Americana.
